We are very pleased to bring you a Q&A with Hannah Atkinson. Hannah is an online coach and personal trainer based here in the U.K. and helps people feel confident without scarifying their lifestyle or fun. You can follow her tips at @hannah_atkinson_pt
Today we talk about how she found her career, her health and fitness tips as well as her view on our daily multivitamin, the Daily Driver.
Let's get into it!
1. Who are you and what's your background?
I am Hannah Atkinson and I am an Online Coach and Personal Trainer. I grew up in Bournemouth and then moved to Bristol when I went off to Study Psychology and Sociology at Uni. After I graduated I moved to Brighton to take a full time office job. I spent 3 years in office work before deciding that I wanted to take up my passion for helping others and living a fit and healthy lifestyle and become a Personal Trainer. Two years into being a PT I decided to branch into Online Coaching as a way of helping a wider audience.
2. Why did you get into online coaching?
I wanted to get into online coaching as I was able to help a wider audience and also offer clients more than just a face to face workout session. Online coaching offers support throughout the week and allows clients to have the courage to train alone but still with the guidance and added accountability of having a coach.
3. What does a typical day look like for you?
A typical day for me starts at 6am, I get up, get ready then before I leave the house for morning PT clients I have a coffee, breakfast and a hakamount Daily Driver Multivitamin :). After morning clients I train myself then come home and do online client check-ins. Then I'll have lunch and do any admin or Instagram posts in the afternoon. In the evening I usually have 2-3 PT clients before finishing my day. In the evening I like to wind down by listening to music or a podcast and chill in bed with a sleep tea! I also take a magnesium tablet before bed and listen to rain sounds on Alexa to help with sleep :)
4. What are your favourite hobbies?
I love going for long walks and visiting new places. I love doing creative things and painting too.
5. What are the most challenging things running your online coaching business?
I think the most challenging thing about having an online business is that I never really switch off. I don't like not being there for clients so I am on my phone a lot. Also keeping up with regular posts on Instagram, I know its not healthy for your mind to spend too much time on Instagram but it is a big part of my job. I love it, it's just important to find the right balance.
6. What are the most rewarding things running your online coaching business?
The most rewarding thing about my job is seeing my clients progress and feel more confident about themselves. I've been through the process myself so I understand the challenges that you have to overcome along the way.
7. Do you have any advice for someone looking to start their own online business?
8. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
9. What common mistakes do you see your clients make?
10. For someone new to nutrition, what basic tips would you give them to move to a healthier lifestyle?
11. What do you think of our daily multivitamin? What do you like about it?
I love hakamount because it doesn't have fillers like other multivitamins and it gives me a boost each day and helps keep me mindful of my health. I also like supporting small businesses who are passionate about their product and what they do.
